Greeting from Dr. Theresa McLoud
I am delighted to serve as President for the 4th World Congress of Thoracic Imaging which will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from June 18 – 21, 2017. Faculty for the Congress will feature 84 international leaders and educators in cardiothoracic imaging.
The Congress program will include 7 plenary sessions, 19 instructional courses, and 22 scientific abstract sessions and feature over 150 electronic and poster exhibits. The program will emphasize a multi-disciplinary approach to imaging interpretation and highlight the latest advances in thoracic radiology. Major topics include COPD, interstitial lung disease and lung cancer.
The city of Boston is one of America’s most historic cities. It offers fine restaurants, diverse cultural events, outstanding museums and famed universities including Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is ranked as one of the most “walkable” cities in America, with a picturesque harbor and the famed Charles River Esplanade among many other sights to see.
Sponsoring societies for the 4th World Congress include the Society of Thoracic Radiology, the Fleischner Society, the European Society of Thoracic Imaging, and the Japanese and Korean Societies of Thoracic Radiology.
I look forward to a very fruitful meeting and hope you will join us in Boston in June!
Theresa C. McLoud MD, President
4th World Congress of Thoracic Imaging
